With more than 15 years of experience leading cutting-edge technology projects, he has spearheaded the development of pioneering platforms such as EyeFlow.

Detect
Detect is an AI-powered inspection and analytics platform that helps utilities improve how they manage and maintain critical infrastructure, with a focus on transmission towers, poles, and substations.
Location: Miami, Florida
Matt Sattler is the CEO and Co-founder of Detect, a Miami-based company whose AI-powered solutions help utilities identify electrical grid defects before they cause costly power failures. Prior to founding Detect, he built and scaled a data & AI business for HSBC across five countries.

Linebird
Linebird enables drones to perform hands-on work on energized power lines, significantly enhancing safety and operational efficiency for utilities.

Michael Beiro is the CEO of Linebird, a pioneering technology company specializing in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for live-line maintenance on high-voltage power infrastructure. With a degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, Michael has more than seven years of experience in engineering, business administration, and technology commercialization.

NanoSieve
NanoSieve is a gas safety company pioneering the first indoor system that both detects and removes flammable and toxic gases in real time, protecting people, property, and infrastructure from toxic or flammable gas buildup.

Gabrielle Abizeid is a chemical engineer, entrepreneur, inventor, and former engineer and manager in the gas, electric, and renewable energy sectors. She is the founder of NanoSieve, a safety-tech startup developing disruptive gas safety technology that combines gas detection with real-time gas remediation.

Oya Femtech Apparel
Oya Femtech Apparel is a health-focused innovation company transforming women’s sportswear and military uniforms into patented, infection-fighting apparel.
Location: Los Angeles, California
Mitchella Gilbert is the CEO and Founder of Oya Femtech Apparel, a pioneering brand tackling feminine health issues, recognized as a 2023 Fast Company Innovative Company of the Year. A University of Chicago graduate with an MBA from UCLA Anderson, Mitchella has secured over $1 million in venture capital, making them one of the first 200 Black women to do so.

PingThings
Ping Things created an AI tool called PredictiveGrid™ that allows utilities to quickly discover, develop, and deploy data- and AI-driven use cases, seamlessly integrating with existing sensors and systems.
Location: Anaheim, California
Sean is CEO of PingThings and has been helping utilities digitally transform through the effective use of grid sensor data for the last decade. Prior to PingThings, Sean built a data science and analytics consultancy that developed use cases for latent data for numerous, disparate industries, quickly scaling to millions in revenue.

PoleCheck
PoleCheck uses patented, certified microwave technology and algorithms to quickly, easily, and objectively determine the integrity of utility poles.
Location: Orland Park, Illinois
Dr. Fabio da Silva holds a Masters and PhD in Physics, as well as an MBA. He currently serves as CEO of PoleCheck and founder at Wavsens, and formerly worked for the NIST/DARPA. He enjoys orchestration, puzzles, multilingual idioms, and solving complex problems with creative thought and simple solutions.

Solitude Labs
Solitude Labs is developing a decentralized cybersecurity solution, designed to secure communications for distributed energy resources (DERs) and enable authorized devices to communicate directly with one another.
Location: Chicago, Illinois
James holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Statistics with a minor in Mathematics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Data Science at the University of Chicago and pivoted to work on Solitude Labs full time. James has professional experience at Invenergy, Centerview Partners, and SpiderOak.
